Is 10pm a reasonable curfew?

I need to check our insurance coverage

OK, but you have to be home by 10 pm, OK?

    no, I’m all for 8 P.M. curfew! My husband plans to follow Jenna on all her dates. He told her she can’t date until she is 30, so all her stories start…Once Upon a time there was a princess who just turned 30…

    Your daughter is so cute…a diva in the making.

    Oooh, Valerie, I really like the idea of the no dating until 30 rule — looking back, maybe my parents should have instituted something similar :)

    Jennifer, it’s true! I initially just sat her in the seat for a second to rearrange things around her car seat, but she swung into action and wanted to goooo!

    I’m all about eight o clock. Leave at six back by eight. If we all stick together, they can’t say “well Li-Li’s mom lets her say out late”…

    Hah — I’m imagining Li-Li at 16, given how willful she is right now! I suspect she’ll simply hold the coil away from her head the way she did last week when I chastised her for writing on the walls again.

    Aren’t you supposed to force the kid into bed by 7pm? I’m usually told it has to do with children’s sleep patterns and how much they need structure and rest.However, not being a mother I sense it mostly has to do with getting some peace!

    Sian!!! We miss you, and hope to be in Ch’ville the week of April 21st — can we come see you?

    You know, I try to keep John on the 6pm dinner, 7pm bath & story, 8pm lights out routine so he won’t get cranky at midday, and because he’s my husband of course he always does what I suggest.

    But now that Li-Li’s two, when she’s out on the town with her friends, driving around like a demon, time just flies and I’m lucky if she’s home by midnight! At least I always know where she is — that cochlear implant came with a handy GPS system (hmm, I really wish it did!).

    [if any of our lovely social services folks are reading, I'm just kidding: we would never let Li-Li drive after dark]
