The return of the power of attorney

The Chinese Consulate in New York returned my signed, notarized, certified and now authenticated power of attorney. Since I’m going with Mom and John is staying home to mind the ranch, this means that in China I can change the wee one’s name from Anna-Li to whatever the mood strikes me: Cordelia, Ophelia … just think of all the names John eliminated from my list early on …

Now awaiting only those pesky visa approvals …

Oh, and mom, did I mention that we are limited to 44lb of luggage per person for in-China flights?
