Ahhh children’s books … I’ve been a collector for so long, and will soon be able to read them to a little blank slate of my own, rather than just regaling my cynical husband and drooling pack of four-footers … But I do need to round out a somewhat narrow collection, so please add another to my amazon.com wish list:
“Written in simple text, readers can follow along with Tommy and Lou as they open a lemonade stand to earn money for a swing set. But when liberals start demanding that Tommy and Lou pay half their money in taxes, take down their picture of Jesus, and serve broccoli with every glass of lemonade, the young brothers experience the downside to living in Liberaland.”
Ah, yes. The familiar tale of liberals storming into privately owned enterprises and demanding that religious imagery be removed and forcing proprietors to sell something they don’t want to. What an age-old story. It’s about time someone turned it into a children’s book.~ Excerpt from Shakespeare’s Sister.Actually, I suspect this may be a bit of a misclassification issue. Perhaps the publisher and Amazon.com got it wrong and it’s not a children’s book at all, but is simply written in big type, small words and lots of colorful pictures so the average Fox News-watching right-winger will stay tuned?

Brainwashing children is fun! Don’t let them think for themselves.
