So much for settling back to wait. I screwed up the paperwork. Ugh.
OK, well not the paperwork exactly, but we’ve spent more than a month waiting for the call from our agency with the next step (sending the long-finished dossier to China). We got the call! But it was a gentle nudge. All this time, they were waiting for us to kick over the photocopies (which we’d done for most required documents, but too early in the process, and so not logged as such).
But no problem, we’ve pulled it together this week, checked to be certain all documents have original state seals from Virginia and New York, have been notarized in Massachusetts, then left our docs today to be certified by the sect’y of state in Massachusetts, and Monday morning we’ll pick them up and send to the China Consulate in NYC.
